Bogotá
Bogotá,
the capital of Colombia, is located in fertile plains 2630 meters
above sea level, in the eastern part of the Andes. It was founded
on August 6th, 1538, by the Spanish conqueror Gonzalo Jiménez
de Quesada and is currently one of the biggest and most important
cities in Latin America. With a population of more than 6 million,
and an average temperature of 15°C, it is an important cultural
and business center.
